Arbat
Description: December 1, 2018 in Shymkent opened a recreation area Arbat. The length of the pedestrian zone-half kilometer, width-35 meters. There are 7 fountains and a bicycle path. There were also installed 90-seat, 26 large and 76 small lights decorated with an arch at the intersection of Beibitshilik Street and Al-Farabi Square and Republic Avenue.

Gallery of Fine Arts
Description: The building of fine arts was inaugurated in February 2015 with the participation of the State Secretary of the Republic of Kazakhstan Abdykalikova G. N. and the then Akim of the region Myrzakhmetov A. I. From June 2014 to February 2015, 3 additional halls were added to the museum, the scope of activities was expanded. The total area of the museum is 2449 square meters, of which the exposition - 1600 square meters, the fund - 54 square meters.

Monument “Baidibek Bi
Description: The monument “Baidibek Bi” is the highest monument in Shymkent city. The highest point of the city of Shymkent in the north - 220 meters - was taken for the installation of the monument. The height of the statue is 10 meters, and taking into account the embankment, pedestal and the monument itself, the monument is 23 meters. The monument with a total weight of 9 tons was created in record time - within 20 days. Baidibek Karashauly (1356-1419) - the name of bi and hero of the Kazakh people, legendary predecessor of the Kazakh family alban, suan, dulat, sary, uysun, shapyrashty, ysty, oshakty of the Great zhuz. He was a friend and companion of Amir Temur. He was popularly known for his righteousness, inventiveness of words, humanity and wisdom.

Center of Customs and Traditions
Description: The center of customs and traditions was opened in December 2014 throughout the republic for the first time in Shymkent. Theater of satire and humor
Description: The first state theater of satire and humor in the country, created on the basis of the famous theater of humor “Shanshar”, in a short period of time managed to find its audience. Monument of Independence "Zher Ana"
Description: The Monument of Independence "Zher Ana" - these architectural compositions mark the expanses of the native land, peace and harmony of peoples. It is located at the intersection of Tole bi, Kazybek bi, and Aiteke bi streets. The Memlekettik Ramizder Square and the 104-meter-long Golden Bridge are connected to this monument with a height of 34 meters and between the Independence Park.

Hippodrome
Description: The facility is the largest in the country and aims to become one of the main attractions of the Southern region.
The hippodrome accommodates 1500 spectators. In addition to the stabling arenas, it includes 53 stables, a covered stand, a veterinary block, auxiliary facilities, and a spacious parking lot for 310 cars. There is an outdoor terrace on the top floor of the grandstand.
For games and competitions, a 2012 meter long race track is provided, fenced with a special shock-absorbing fence for the safety of horses and riders. Also, areas for kokpar, horse jumping are decorated with quartz sands, natural stones. The racetrack, built in accordance with international standards, is one of the venues for International Sports and entertainment competitions in Shymkent.

Exhibition Center
Description: “Exhibition Center” is a specialized 2-storey center with an area of 2000 thousand square meters located in the new administrative business center of Shymkent city. Various business forums, tourist events, as well as exhibitions, fairs of agricultural producers from the South and far abroad are held here. Nauryz Square
Description: In Shymkent with time the number of sights that have added charm to the city is growing. One of such architectural places is Nauryz Square. Nauryz Square occupies an area of more than 1 hectare. 100 million tenge has been allocated for this object financed from the regional budget. In this area are placed bas-relief compositions “Auylim - altyn besigim”, architectural decorative elements reflecting Kazakh customs and traditions: “Kokpar”, “kyz kuu”, “tenge alu”, “Berkutshy”.

Opera and Ballet Theatre
Description: «Opera and Ballet Theater» is one of the proudest cultural objects of Shymkent city. Since not much time has passed since the opening of the theater, today it is the youngest theater in the Republic of Kazakhstan. Outside and inside the building of the Opera and Ballet Theater in Shymkent are decorated in the Kazakh national style. The capacity of the concert hall is 350 seats.

Russian Drama Theatre

Turkestan Palace of Celebrations
Description: Turkestan Palace of Celebrations - this palace with a hall for 1420 seats hosts international and republican events, conferences, gala evenings and concerts. The building fully complies with modern standards and was built with facilities for people with disabilities. The total area of the Ceremonial Palace “Turkestan”, dedicated to the organization of various solemn events, is 8.5 thousand square meters. The equipment installed in the Ceremonial Palace allows holding large-scale concerts. And there are separate VIP boxes on the second floor.

Circus
Description: The circus opened on December 17, 2011. The building of the institution stands out for its unusual design. To date, 145 employees work in 11 departments of the institution: clowns, acrobats and magicians, which simultaneously delight 1200 spectators. The opening of the institution “Circus” allowed organizing tours of internationally recognized circus groups in Shymkent.

Shamshi Alemi Park
Description: Recently built alley in the area of “Kol” of Al-Farabi district was named - “Shamshi alemi”. This beautiful name will serve the people for centuries. Many regional, republican, international contests, festivals and other competitions are held in “Shamshi әlemi”. This is an alley timed to the 80th anniversary of Shamshi Kaldayakov, who became the king of Kazakh waltz.

Tulip Hall

A. Pushkin Library
Description: The library of A. Pushkin, which has more than a century of history, was opened in Shymkent on the eve of the 100th anniversary of A. S. Pushkin in 1899 with the confirmation of the local historian N. Lykoshin and served many readers until yesterday. Description: Branch of the Union of Craftsmen of Kazakhstan “private art gallery” Altyn Orda “family Beyisbekov” makes Kazakh handicrafts from pure natural raw materials in the traditional way of our ancestors. Youth Resource Center
Description: In order to coordinate youth policy Youth Resource Center provides comprehensive support and services for the implementation of youth initiatives. The building has 18 office cubicles, a hall for 600 seats, which is 2323.2 square meters. m. This year Outreach, NEET youth department, branches of 4 districts of the city are opened. The branches have from 5 to 20 employees. Since 2019, the center for the first time organized 11 circles and 4 dialogue platforms for young people. More than 80 thousand young people use the services of the center.

The Ice Palace

Shanin Regional Drama Theatre
Description: Kazakh Academic Drama Theater named after Zhumat Shanin opened the doors of its new building in 2014. The building, designed for 500 seats, meets all international requirements for the theater and is equipped with the necessary equipment. The height of the stage is 30 meters.

Shymkent City Puppet and Youth Theater
Description: The theater of puppets and young spectators in Shymkent was opened in 1983. The repertoire of the theater with a 41-year history has about 150 productions of domestic and foreign authors in Kazakh and Russian languages. These are: «Kerkula atty Kendebay» by A. Faizullauly, «Bird of Happiness» by A. Malyuchenko, «Skin and sport» by O. Aubakirov, «Aladdin's Magic Lamp» by N. Gernet, «Teremok» S. Geremet. Marshak and many other performances.

Uzbek Drama Theatre
Description: It was established on March 14, 2003 in the Sairam residential area.
