The city of Shymkent hosted the “Zher Zhannaty – Zhetysu” (“Heaven on Earth – Zhetysu”) information caravan, aimed at promoting the rich tourism potential of the Zhetysu region and strengthening interregional cooperation in the field of tourism.
During the event, participants were introduced to the natural, cultural, and recreational attractions of Zhetysu. The caravan showcased the region’s popular destinations and landmarks, including Zhongar-Alatau National Park (@zhongar_alatau_kz), Altynemel National Park (@altynemel_np), the Khorgos International Centre for Boundary Cooperation (@mcps_khorgos), the M. Tynyshbayuly Museum (@m_tynyshbaiuly_muzei), Zharkent-Arasan Resort (@zharkentarasan), Tau Zhetysu (@tau.zhetysu), Yahta Balkhash (@yahta_balhash), and Jetysu Camping (@jetysu_camping).
During their visit to Shymkent, the Visit Shymkent team warmly welcomed the guests from Zhetysu, introduced them to their office and Creative Hub, and organized a sightseeing tour of the city’s main tourist attractions.
The Zhetysu representatives expressed their gratitude for the hospitality and emphasized their intention to continue strengthening cooperation in tourism.
The “Zher Zhannaty – Zhetysu” caravan serves as an important initiative to promote domestic tourism and foster experience exchange between regions.
