Government support measures:

New government support measures for the tourism industry will begin to take effect on January 1, 2022.

1.Subsidizing inbound tourism operators for each foreign tourist.

The subsidy amount is 15,000 KZT per foreign tourist, provided that the tourist product includes:
Air transportation;
Accommodation for at least 4 days and 3 nights;
Registration in the “e-Hotel” (“e-Qonaq”) information system;
Visits to at least 3 tourist attractions.
Applications are accepted by the Ministry of Culture and Sports (MCS).

2.Reimbursement of equipment and machinery purchases for ski resorts (25%).

25% of the cost of equipment for ski resorts, including cable cars, snow generators, and snow groomers, will be reimbursed to business entities.
Applications are accepted by MCS.

3.Reimbursement of expenses for the construction and reconstruction of tourism facilities (10%).

Reimbursements will be paid after the commissioning of the tourism facility.
To receive compensation, entrepreneurs must submit an application to local executive authorities (LEAs) with the necessary documents.

4.Reimbursement for the construction of roadside service facilities (10%)

The reimbursement amount is 10% of the construction cost, as indicated in the expert opinion of the project documentation.
Roadside service facilities include motels, hotels, campsites, service stations, gas stations, catering points, shops, communication centers, medical assistance points, outdoor advertising structures, and other service objects.

5.Reimbursement for the purchase of tourist buses

25% of the cost of motor vehicles with more than eight passenger seats (excluding the driver’s seat) will be reimbursed to tourism business entities (tour operators, travel agents, guides, and tour guides).
Applications are accepted by local executive authorities (akimats).

6.Subsidizing the maintenance of sanitary and hygiene units (SHUs)

A monthly subsidy of 83,300 KZT is provided for SHUs, which include stand-alone stationary or mobile facilities located in tourist-attractive areas or along roads.
These facilities must have separate cabins for men and women, accessible amenities for disabled persons, toilets, sinks, ventilation systems, lighting, and personal hygiene products.
Applications are accepted by akimats.

7.Subsidizing the cost of air tickets for minors included in a tourist product

Domestic flights for children aged 2 to 17 years will be 100% subsidized, meaning free air travel will be provided.
Subsidies will be paid to tour operators that sell such tourism products.
To obtain free air tickets, tourists must contact a tour operator to purchase a package.
After selling the package, tour operators submit applications to JSC “NC Kazakh Tourism” for reimbursement.
