On October 27, 2023, in honor of the 100th anniversary of the Republic of Turkey—our fraternal nation that was the first to recognize the independence of Kazakhstan—the park located in the 11th microdistrict was officially named Kazakhstan-Turkey Friendship Park.
During the ceremonial gathering, the Mayor of the city, Gabit Syzdykbekov, delivered a welcoming speech. Congratulating the Republic of Turkey on its centenary as a brotherly nation that first recognized Kazakhstan’s independence, he stated,
«We have decided to name this park Kazakhstan-Turkey Friendship Park». The mayor also expressed his hopes for the future: «May the cooperation and camaraderie between our two nations grow and transform into superpowers on the international stage!» he wished. Kazakhstan-Turkey Friendship Park has become not only a place for leisure but also a beautiful corner for relaxation. It features comfortable walking areas and meeting spots, as well as playgrounds for children, making it an ideal destination for family outings.
