The memorial complex “Dank” was built in 2010 on the territory of the Abai Park. The names of 140 thousand of young men who did not return from the war are carved in stone here. The 35-meter obelisk, symbolizing the fusion of front and rear, and the “Eternal Flame” under it were built in 1979. The black plaques, 200 meters long on both sides along the alley, are engraved with the names of about 140 thousand warriors from this region.
In the center of the Walk of Fame there is a monument “Zhuldyz”, on which the names of 51 Heroes of the Soviet Union and 8 full cavaliers of the Order of Glory are engraved on red granite. In the alley there is an open-air museum of military equipment in honor of the soldiers who died in the Afghan war.
