The grand opening of Independence Park took place in 2011 to celebrate the 20th anniversary of Kazakhstan’s independence. Located in the historical part of the city, the park features a majestic Triumphal Arch standing 15 meters tall. Along the central alley, plaques narrate significant events from the period of our country’s independence. At the park’s center stands the monument «El Birlik»,
situated on a giant granite pedestal adorned with a bas-relief depicting representatives from all ethnic groups living in the country. Visitors can also enjoy the «Altyn Shanyrak» monument and a fountain that dances to unique musical compositions, creating an atmosphere of celebration and harmony.
