The museum “Hakim Abai”, dedicated to Abai Kunanbayev, was opened on September 22, 2009 in Shymkent, in Abai Park. There are guided tours for schoolchildren, videos are shown, lectures are given, and open lessons of Abai’s creativity are held. The total area of the museum is 490 square meters, of which the exhibition hall has an area of 245 square meters.
