The Museum of Local Lore was founded in 1920. The museum is one of the iconic cultural centers of the city. The main task of the museum with more than 96 years of history is to acquaint the local population and guests of the region with the wonderful natural resources, history and culture of our region. Today, the museum’s collections contain more than 93,000 thousand exhibits. Artifacts are divided into several collections depending on the material and history they are made of:
nature (paleontology, geology, flora, fauna), metal, fine art, photographic documents, weapons, wood products, archeology, newspapers, wool and cotton products. Relics are placed in the vault of the foundation according to a certain system, depending on the materials from which they are made. The number of visitors to the museum is more than 100 thousand people per year.
